About Vinapedia
CONNOISSEUR, n. A specialist who knows everything about something and
nothing about anything else. -- Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914), "The Devil's
Dictionary," 1911
Why Vinapedia?
I created Vinapedia because I'm not an authority on wine. I created it so that I
could learn more about something I've become passionate about. It's easier to
learn about something when you have someone to share it with, and that's
where you come in. As I learn about wine, I'll share my knowledge with you
and, hopefully, maybe make a little extra cash in the process.
Vinapedia is designed to be a place where the novice oenophile -- that's fancy
talk for "beginning wine lover" -- can come and learn about wine without the
wine-snob attitude, but with a sense of humor.
Vinapedia is hardly finished. It's a never-ending work in progress. As I learn
more about wine, I'll share what I've learned with you, so be sure to keep
coming back and checking in. I plan new features and content on a weekly
basis.

About the Proprietor
I've been a writer of one
flavor or another for a little
more than a decade,
having been on staff at
Upside and Business 2.0
magazines and written
many freelance articles. In
addition, I've been a web
content consultant for
Razorfish and The Walt
Disney Company.
Currently, I am a marketing
manager and head blogger
at Yahoo! Search Marketing
and a regular columnist for
Dandyism.net. You can
read my personal blog at
Travels West.
Prior to my writer's life, I
was a barkeep and a night
club host, and I once even
worked in the check repair
dept. at Wells Fargo,
taping torn checks back
together. Really.
